Phoenix Ancient Town
Fenghuang is one of the main tourist places in Hunan province. It's a small county renowned for its natural beauty, rich history and culture as well as colorful ethnic customs. Phoenix Ancient Town is an attraction in Fenghuang. It's an old town built up in Qing Dynasty. It's still being kept in its original appearance with 300 years passed. Mountains, water and blue skies prevail the area of beauty. It was praised as "the Most Beautiful Town of China" by famous New Zealand writer Rewi Alley. Phoenix Ancient Town is a wonderful example of what villages were like prior to the onset of modernization.
It's located in Fenghuang county, Xiangxi autonomous prefecture, Hunan province, China.
There is an airport there. It's Only 30 kilometers from the airport to Phoenix Ancient Town. Its name is Tongren Fenghuang Airport (TEN). Former name is Tongren Daxing Airport (TEN).
